Team Three’s all about the big stretch - from Utah to Texas, from Handel to Puts.
Tenor Kyle Felkins, originally from Roosevelt, Utah, now hails from Waco, Texas. He was recently seen as Princ (Rusalka), Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi), Martin (The Tender Land), Don Basillio (Le nozze di Figaro), Bill (A Hand of Bridge), Marco (The Gondoliers), and Ferrando (Cosi fan tutte). His recent solo performances include Handel’s Messiah with Vox Seraphim, Haydn's Missa in angustiis with the Central Texas Choral Society, and the premier of Arkhe by Maxwell Winningham. Kyle received a Bachelor of Music from Snow College, where he studied with Prof. Brian Stucki, and his Master of Music at Baylor University, studying with Dr. Jamie Van Eyck.
Trent Hanna has been awarded for his achievements both as a composer and performer. He performed John Corigliano’s Concerto for Piano and Orchestra with several orchestras as well as the Rhapsody in Blue and his own piano concerto, The Rorschach Test multiple times. His original works have been commissioned and performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. He conducted his Fanfare for Peace on tour in the Czech Republic, Austria, and Hungary. Dr. Hanna received his DMA in Composition from the University of Texas at Austin, and studied composition with Fisher Tull and Pulitzer Prize winner Kevin Puts. His music can be heard on his albums Sojournal, chroma:new music for piano (Capstone Records), The American Evolution: Piano Preludes, Christmas Like This, Facing the Sun, Trent Hanna Community: Potluck, and A Dream to Become. Dr. Hanna is currently the Coordinator of Theory and Composition at Snow College in Utah.
